Jacksonville Anchor Gets Emotional Telling Viewers to ‘Err on the Side of Caution’

By Kevin Eck

WJXT anchor Tom Wills got emotional last night when he told viewers of the Jacksonville station that Hurricane Matthew would bring “catastrophic damage” to the area.

Wills, who has co-anchored at WJXT since 1975, told viewers the area hasn’t seen anything like it in 118 years.

“This will be unlike any hurricane in the modern era,” said Wills who urged viewers to do whatever is necessary to protect their families and to err on the side of caution.
