Ion Television announced on Monday that it has acquired more than 40 feature film titles, including “March of the Penguins,” “GoodFellas,” and the “Back to the Future” trilogy, through multiple theatrical film deals with NBCU and Warner Bros.
The newly acquired titles will begin airing later this month and will continue to roll out on ION Television’s schedule throughout the fall and into 2010.
“As ION Television continues to build its schedule, these first-rate theatrical features are the perfect complement to our growing line-up of original and acquired series,” said Leslie Chesloff, EVP, Programming at ION Media Networks.
