Intermountain West NBC-Affiliates Launch New Websites, Plan for Mobile Apps

Four NBC-affiliates owned by Intermountain West Communications have launched redesigned websites as part of a digital overhaul effort that also includes plans to develop mobile smartphone apps for the stations.

The redesign applies to three Intermountain stations in Nevada — KSNV in Las Vegas, KENV in Elko and KRNV in Reno — along with one station in Idaho Falls, KPVI. The new website design allows automatic downloads of  news digital content, like slideshows and video, as well as integration with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

“Early consumer reviews of our new website are fantastic,” KSNV VP-GM Lisa Howfield said in a statement. “Internally, our staff can now function more efficiently, which provides greater opportunities for expanded coverage, improved consumer engagement and increased revenue.”

The four redesigned websites use Inergize Digital’s CMS platform. Intermountain also announced plans for smartphone apps to be launched in the coming weeks for the four stations using Inergize’s News Synergy technology.
