WISH has announced starting tomorrow, Lori Wilson (pictured right) will co-anchor the Indianapolis CBS affiliate’s 6:00 and 11:00 p.m. news and Brooke Martin (pictured left) will co-anchor the 5:30 and 10:00 p.m. newscasts.

Wilson replaces the retiring Debby Knox. She currently anchors the stations 5:00 p.m. news and reports live for the 10:00 and 11:00 pm. shows. Martin currently anchors the weekend news and also reports for the weekday 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. news.

“I’m thrilled and humbled to receive this incredible opportunity,” Wilson said in a statement. “WISH-TV has a long history of excellence in news reporting and weather coverage.  I am honored and look forward to continuing that tradition Central Indiana viewers have come to expect from 24 Hour News 8.”

Wilson, who will continue anchoring the 5:00 p.m. news, worked at WCAU in Philadelphia before joining WISH in June. She has also worked at WGCL Atlanta and KSLA in Shreveport, LA.  She started her career at WCIA in Champaign, IL.

Martin will join David Barras at 5:30 p.m. and Eric Halvorson, meteorologist Robb Ellis and sports director Anthony Calhounat 10:00 p.m.

“Brooke has done an outstanding job in reporting and anchoring for WISH-TV,” WISH news director Steve Bray said in a statement. “Her poise and professionalism has been there helping Hoosiers through major news events this past year, including the Southside explosion, and most recently the tornado outbreak in Central Indiana.”

She joined WISH in October 2012 from KSNW in Wichita, KS, and started her career at WMGT in Macon, GA.
