Indianapolis Reporter Joins WGN as Reporter and Meteorologist

Alyssa Donovan has joined Nexstar’s Chicago station WGN as a freelance reporter and meteorologist.

She marked her Chicago debut by tweeting,” Well that was fun! First show in the books @WGNNews. Thanks @DinaBairWGN and @seanlewiswgn for the warm welcome!”

Donovan comes from Indianapolis station WRTV, which she joined in 2018. She started her career in Peoria, Ill. and has worked in Kansas City, Mo. and Spokane, Wash.

WRTV wrote in Donovan’s bio that she “has worked nearly every shift in the newsroom and is known as our utility player. Her ability to quickly adapt to different roles has allowed her to assist other stations in the Scripps family.”
