She said he offered to be a source.

But KAKE anchor Deb Farris says ICE agent Andrew Pleviak crossed the line instead.

Court documents released this week show Pleviak is facing federal charges after sending the Wichita, Kansas anchor inappropriate texts and sensitive law enforcement material.

The affidavit said Farris met with police in March. At the time, detectives captured more than 185 screen shots of text messages between her and Pleviak.

He was indicted in July on on counts of exceeding authorized access to a government computer and destruction of records.

His attorney declined to comment to the Associated Press.

Farris, who has been at KAKE since 1992, anchors the 5, 6 and 10p.m news for the ABC affiliate.
