Ibrahim Samra Out at WWJ in Detroit

By Kevin Eck

Detroit reporter Ibrahim Samra no longer works at CBS-owned station WWJ.

A tipster told TVSpy that Samra reported “heavily” on the Gaza conflict. A quick check of his social media account backs this up and shows on one post he quoted former MSNBC anchor Mehdi Hasaan who said about the conflict, ““Palestinian voices not being on American TV or print is one of the biggest problems…”

On Friday, he posted “When you do right, you don’t need to fear what could go wrong. Allah knows.”

Samra joined the station in 2022. He was recently named 1 of 30 Arab Americans Under 30 who are making an impact in their community across the country by the Arab America Foundation.

His bio has been removed from the website. We asked CBS about it, but haven’t heard anything back.
