Hiccups on Live TV, What Could Go Wrong?

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

In Detroit, a case of the hiccups came at the wrong time.

WDIV anchor Evrod Cassimy was solo anchoring a morning show when they hit this week.

He posted a video on Facebook from the show. You can hear him tripping over his hiccups during every story.

“This has never happened to me in 14 years of doing live news broadcasts! Hiccups during the middle of the show! Shoutout to my executive producer for saving me with a glass of water during commercials!”

Cassimy is the station’s morning anchor and reporter. He started at the Michigan station in 2013.
