Hema Mullur has left Austin, Texas CBS affiliate KEYE after nine years.
Saying she has “no idea if you’ll ever see me on TV again,” Mullur posted the news on Facebook adding that she did not plan to end her career as a journalist.
“More than anything, I’m proud to be an Indian American woman who has thrived in an unconventional career path,” Mullur wrote. “I am sad Central Texas will no longer have that prominent representation, but I will forever cherish every comment I received from fellow South Asians who took the time to tell me how proud they were to see my face and hear my name on TV.”

Mullur joined KEYE in 2014 after working at KDVR in Denver.
