Heinert Starts as ND at Sioux Falls’ KDLT, Fourth in Two Years

KDLT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Sioux Falls once again has said its “goodbye” to one news director and “welcome” to a new one. This is the fourth time in less than two years that the local television station has made the announcement of change.

Paul Heinert, a staff news/sports reporter for the station the past 3 years, assumed the duties of news director in mid-August.

Heinert replaces Seth Oeltjenbruns who became news director earlier this year. No word on Oeltjenbruns plans except for “family business,” according to a long time newsroom employee who asked not to be identified.

Heinert becomes the fourth news director in less than two years. Former anchors Bobbi Lower and Jen Wahle preceded Oeltjenbruns in that title. More…
