Tony Terzi is leaving Hartford, Ct., Fox affiliate WTIC to work in local government.

Terzi announced the move on social media by saying his new office was Meriden City Hall in Meriden, Ct.

“After a long, rewarding career in television news and radio, I am excited to announce I am returning home to become the Strategic Communications Specialist for the City of Meriden, where I was born and lived through 5th grade,” he said. “See you around the Silver City!”

Terzi worked at WTIC twice in his career. His first go round was between 1995 and 2005 as a sports anchor and reporter. According to his LinkedIn, he left local TV to work in sales and, at one point, for Special Olympics Connecticut.

When he came back in 2013, he got to work with his father, WTIC anchor Al Terzi. On December 26, 2013, they became only the second father-son duo to co-anchor a newscast.
