NBC Connecticut morning anchor Heidi Voight is recovering from a health scare that needed a stay in the hospital and a few weeks off the air.
“I’m okay – but had a bit of a scare and some unexpected surgery I’m now recovering from,” she wrote on Facebook. “After four days in critical care and a trip to the OR, I finally started feeling better, and I am so grateful to all the doctors, nurses and staff for their compassionate care and determination in figuring out what was causing my symptoms.”
She told Patch that she is thankful for the support she has received from viewers. She also posted to facebook that she’d be back on air soon.
