Green Bay Anchor Leaves After 20 Years

WGBA anchor Stacy Engebretson said goodbye to viewers Friday night.

“Today is a bittersweet day. After nearly 20 years of bringing you the news on NBC 26, this is my last newscast,” she told viewers on-air. “The decision was a difficult one, but a new and exciting opportunity awaits that will allow me to spend more time with my husband and three beautiful daughters, now ages ten, eight and four.”

Engebretson anchored the Green Bay, Wisc. NBC affiliate’s 5 p.m. newscast. She worked as an anchor/reporter at WAOW in Wausau and at KSAX in Alexandria, Minn., before joining the station in 2000.
