Good Day LA is expanding.

KTTV, the Fox station in Los Angeles, will now begin broadcasting news at 4 a.m., adding additional half hour a day.

“Fox11 News is pleased to be expanding our morning news block to deliver the news, weather and traffic our audience wants at an even earlier time that fits their busy lifestyle,” said vice president and news director Kristine Kuntsen.

Dan Cohen and Rita Garcia will anchor the new half hour and Soumada Khan will do the weather.

Fox 11 will now produce 9 hours of live, local news each weekday.

The new schedule begins today.
