Good Day Atlanta anchor Gurvir Dhindsa is leaving Fox-owned Atlanta station WAGA.

“I’ve decided the time is right for me to leave FOX 5,” Dhindsa wrote on her Facebook page. “Tomorrow will be my last day. I’ve so enjoyed the chance to be with you each morning on Good Day Atlanta. The friendships I’ve made with all of you and our Good Day team have been such a blessing. I’ve shared with you my love of family and I’m looking forward to spending more time with them. Thank you for your support and God Bless.”

“We thank Gurvir for her service to Good Day Atlanta and our viewers,” A WAGA spokesperson told TVSpy. “We wish her well in the future.”

Traffic anchor Katie Beasley , meteorologist Joanne Feldman, and news anchors Ron Gant, Karen Graham and Buck Lanford are the remaining anchors on the morning show.

She first worked at WAGA in 1997 and left in 2000 to join Gannett-owned WUSA in Washington, D.C. She later worked at Fox-owned WTTG for seven years before coming back to WAGA in 2011. She started her career as a production assistant at WTVF in Nashville, Tenn.
