KSEE (Channel 24.1) will stop producing a 10 p.m. weekday newscast for KAIL (Channel 7.1) on Sept. 11. KSEE has produced the local news program for KAIL since September 2006, but it’s been a struggle for ratings, especially against the the KMPH (Channel 26) 10 p.m. news.
Matt Rosenfeld, KSEE’s general manager, says now his station can concentrate solely on content for the local NBC affiliate.

KAIL program director Bob Jenkins says he was happy with KSEE’s work, and it wasn’t his choice to end it. It was KSEE management who suggested the joint project three years ago. More…
