Fresno station KFSN has announced a couple of anchor moves and a new newscast.

The ABC station will add a newscast at 3 p.m. to be anchored by Vanessa Vasconcelos. The station also announced that Jessica Harrington will be the new co-anchor of AM Live.

“Seven years ago when I moved to the Valley, I never imagined an opportunity of this magnitude would come my way,” said Vasconcelos. “I want to thank our management for believing in me and trusting me with this responsibility.”

Action News Live at 3:00 p.m. is set to launch on Monday, September 11. The station will also air the live edition of World News Tonight with David Muir at 3:30 p.m.

“The Central Valley has been my home for nearly my entire life. I get to tell stories about communities I care about — especially all of the little surrounding towns that hold such a special place in my heart,” said Harrington, who will anchor alongside Jason Oliveira. “Being here feels like I’m finally getting a chance to give back to the community that has given so much to me.”

Harrington will officially start her new role on Monday, July 10.
