WTVT has announced a new addition to the weekend team.
Tyler Eliasen will anchor the Fox-owned station’s weekend newscasts.
“Tyler is a great meteorologist who understands Florida weather and will make a great addition to a team that already dominates weather coverage.”

Eliasen is no stranger to Florida. Before coming to Tampa, he served as the morning meteorologist at WMBB in Panama City, Florida. Prior to that, he served as a weekend meteorologist-reporter for two years and also produced weather hits for the sister station in Jacksonville, Florida.
A graduate of Valparaiso University, Eliasen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology and is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist.
His first day is July 29.
