Fox Names Jeff Gurley GM of Dallas Stations

Jeff Gurley has been named senior vice president and general manager of the Fox-owned duopoly in Dallas (KDFW and KDFI)

“In Jeff’s 25 plus years at KDFW-KDFI he has demonstrated a superior work ethic and a skill for delivering consistent and high quality results,” said Jack Abernethy, chief executive officer of Fox Television Stations. “He is an excellent choice to continue leading a stellar station.”

Gurley has been with KDFW-KDFI since 1997 and has worked the last 13 years as vice president and director of sales. Gurley started working at the stations national sales manager, and was promoted to local sales manager and, later, vice president and general sales manager. Before joining the duopoly, he was a team manager for Seltel Television in Dallas, a national account executive at Petry Television in Dallas, a regional sales manager at KOTV in Tulsa, Okla., and a local account executive at KDAF in Dallas. Gurley began his career as a local account executive at KFDM in Beaumont, Texas.

“I am honored to be the next General Manager of KDFW Fox 4 and KDFI More 27,” said Gurley. “Growing up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, combined with my 25 plus-year career at KDFW-KDFI has given me a good understanding of the history of these stations and their strong legacy position in the market. I am looking forward to building on the successes that we’ve had and growing our strong product across all platforms.”
