This morning WTTG anchor Wisdom Martin was playing basketball with the Harlem Globetrotters in Bethesda, Md. when he felt his wedding ring fly off his finger and watched it disappear into a grate.
Luckily for him and his marriage, a few crew members working for a nearby property management company opened up the grate and retrieved the ring for him while the anchors back at the station watched live.
Martin then went down to the street level and was reunited with the ring about 40 minutes after he’d lost it.
