Fox and Cablevision Finally Reach a Deal

The Fox network flickered back to life in three million homes served by Cablevision on Saturday night, signaling an end to an unusually long and bitter feud between the cable company and Fox’s parent company, the News Corporation.

Fox had been blacked out in Cablevision homes since Oct. 16 because the two companies could not agree on new contract terms. Cablevision serves the New York metropolitan area.

The signal was restored in time for the third game of the World Series, which is being televised by Fox. More…
