Meghan Danahey has joined Asheville, N.C. ABC affiliate WLOS as weekend morning meteorologist and reporter.

Danahey last worked at KMOV in St. Louis. She filed a sex and age discrimination lawsuit against the station owner, Meredith Corporation of Iowa, in January.

“It’s OFFICIAL! Passing off the weather clicker to Meghan Danahey this morning as the new weekend morning meteorologist,” WLOS morning meteorologist Ryan Coulter wrote on Facebook. Coulter also posted a welcome video of Danahey, see the Twitter version below.

“I have never felt so welcome and instantly at home. Thank you so much to my new friends and colleagues at WLOS ABC 13!” Danahey responded in a comment. “A very special thank you to YOU Ryan Coulter for all of your help (& putting up with me behind the scenes all week 🤣 ) and to Photographer Matthew Yates for this introduction story that made me tear up.”

Before working at KMOV, Danahey was a meteorologist at WCNC in Charlotte. She’s also worked in Fort Myers, Fla., and Austin, Dallas and Wichita Falls, Texas.

The station said Danahey will focus on local feature stories and environmental issues for the station.
