Former WHTM anchor Flora Posteraro is back on air, but not on TV.
She has teamed up with a local PR firm in Pittsburgh to launch a podcast called PA PoliChicks. In the podcast, which lives on the online news site, PennWatch.org, Posteraro and her cohost present nonpartisan takes on news.
Posteraro, who was fired from the station in March, is now a senior multimedia specialist for PennWatch.org, where she does media training and produces videos for clients.
“We like to say that no topic is off limits and we really want the podcast to be real. It features genuine conversations about the issues everyone’s interested in without a lot of fences and filters. While politics is in our blood and will be a mainstay of the podcast, we’ll explore all kinds of topics — the people, places and personalities that make this time in our history so fascinating,” she told the Central Penn Business Journal.
Posteraro worked for the ABC affiliate for 20 years. She has since filed an age discrimination complaint against the station and its general manager.
