Former NBC News Correspondent Blake McCoy is joining WTTG, the Fox station in Washington, D.C.

“Blake is an exceptional journalist, who brings a wealth of experience and success from both the local and national news levels. We are excited to add Blake to our team of strong journalists and confident he will enhance our newscasts,” said vice president and news director Paul McGonagle.

Prior to his time in Chicago as a correspondent, he was an anchor and reporter for KARE in Minneapolis and KTNV in Las Vegas.

McCoy attended college at George Washington University and said he is excited for this homecoming: “I attended college in D.C. and it has always been my dream to return. I’m thrilled to join the FOX 5 team to continue their work serving this community and am excited to officially make this city home.”

He will begin his new role on March 18.
