Former Intern Named Weekend Anchor at Little Rock Station

Hunter Hoagland is the new weekend anchor at Little Rock, Ark. NBC affiliate KARK.

Hoagland interned at the station while in college before officially starting his career at WRCB in Chattanooga, Tenn., where he was a reporter and fill-in anchor. He returned to KARK in June as a reporter.

“It feels surreal to have been an intern at KARK less than two years ago, and to now be promoted to weekend anchor,” Hoagland said in a story on the station’s website. “I looked up to the journalists who held this position before me, so it’s as close to a full-circle moment as it gets.”
