Former Intern Named Weekend Anchor at Austin FOX Station

FOX owned Austin, TX, station KTBC has named Ashley Paredez weekend evening anchor.

“During Ashley’s tenure filling in on the weekend newscasts, it was clear she was the best choice to be our weekend anchor,” said VP and news director Pam Vaught in a statement. “She connects with our viewers and is always looking for stories that will have an impact on our community.”

Paredez interned at KTBC in 2008. Recently, she has been working as a reporter for the station. Before working at KTBC, she was a morning anchor, reporter and EP at KFDA in Amarillo, TX.
