Fired Little Rock Sports Anchor Apologizes for Mixing Alcohol and Meds

By Kevin Eck

KARK and KNWA sports anchor Aaron Peters says he was asked to step down from the Little Rock and Rogers, Ark. NBC affiliates after he mixed prescription medications with alcohol.

“On Oct. 12, he was seen briefly as the sports segment began and then cameras quickly cut away,” reports Arkansas Business. “Viewers cited by the Arkansas TV News Watch website described Peters as seeming to have been intoxicated.”

Peters said he takes full responsibility for what happened. “Each mistake comes with a cost,” said Peters. “We all know that. It’s just that this particular mistake comes with a big cost and I’m going to have to accept that.”
