Last week FiOS1 News shut down, and 150 people lost their jobs.
But for sports reporter Justin Walters, his luck finding a job turned around quickly.
Walters has accepted not one but two new positions. Starting in December, he will be a sideline reporter for CBS Sports and a reporter for WPIX in New York City.
“I need to stop asking God — why me? It’s WHY NOT ME🙏🏾. Thanks to everyone for your support on this journey,” he wrote on Twitter.
FiOS1, the 24-hour hyper local news network, shut down after Verizon didn’t renew the network’s contract.
