Evie Allen is joining Columbia, Mo., NBC affiliate KOMU as an evening anchor alongside Emily Spain, Matt Beckwith and Ben Arnet.
“It’s been a journey to get to this position but I am so excited to continue my career in a community so similar to mine,” Allen wrote on Facebook. “I have had an amazing career at WSIL and I know I will continue to grow while becoming a Missourian. I look forward to getting to know the people, working with an amazing team, (THE Emily Spain) and students, and calling Columbia home. I get to work with some of the most talented and kind people in the world!! What a blessing this is for me! Of course, THE MOST supportive and patient husband 🥰😘 Matt Barton in the world and my dog Maggie will be joining me in this new adventure!”
Allen worked at WISL in Southern Illinois for 13 years.
