WFLA has announced Eugene Ramirez will join the Tampa NBC affiliate Monday, January 26 as a morning anchor.
Ramirez will co-anchor with Gayle Guyardo. He comes to WFLA from WSVN in Miami where he was a general assignment reporter and fill-in on entertainment show Deco Drive.
“It’s an honor to join a station with so much history in the community,” said Ramirez. “I felt right at home meeting with the WFLA team several weeks ago. I can’t wait to hit the ground running with my new colleagues and to discover all that this beautiful area has to offer!”
Before working at WSVN, Ramirez was guest contributor on Showbiz Tonight on HLN, CNN Newsroom, CNN en Español and Univision Radio. He’s also worked at WSFL in Miami and Central Florida News 13 in Orlando. He started his career at WTPH in Fort Myers, Fla.
