ESPN SportsCenter announcers are known for their catchphrases. When KGO news and sports anchor Larry Beil worked at ESPN, one of his was “With Authority!”
Last night, ESPN’s Neil Everett used Beil’s phrase while showing a DeAndre Jordan dunk. Everett even called the anchor of KGO’s 4 p.m. newscast a legend.
“It’s a pretty spontaneous thing,” Beil told TVSpy. “It’s so not something we talk about in advance.”
