Emmanuel Esparza has been named sports anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 48 (KTDO) in El Paso, Texas.
“Emmanuel is passionate and knowledgeable about our region’s sports, teams and athletes,” said news director Alejandro Pariente. “He will be an excellent addition to our already talented team.”
Esparza will work the 4, 4:30, 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts and said the new job was “extra special” for him.

“I grew up in this community—and now I will have the privilege to cover my hometown’s sports news and tell their stories,” said Esparza.
Esparza joins KTDO after working as a bilingual multi-media journalist for KVIA in El Paso.
