KVIA reporter Michael Gordon was forced to keep his cool over the weekend.
A woman, holding a sign that claimed CNN and several other news outlets were “fake by omission,” walked up to him while he was preparing for a live shot in El Paso, Texas, and began shouting “You’re fake news!” and “You should be ashamed of yourself!”
Gordon’s photographer rolled on the incident. He later posted it on social media along with the hashtag #BeBest.

Journalists across the country, including CNN’s Jim Acosta, commended Gordon for keeping his composure in the situation.
Gordon responded by saying “A) I hold absolutely no ill will towards the woman in that clip and B) A ton of credit goes to my photographer Todd Tony. He had my back out there all day and got some truly amazing shots.”
