Pittsburgh CBS-owned station KDKA sent their chopper to cover a four-alarm fire that broke out in Squirrel Hill yesterday, when they encountered an unexpected visitor mid-air.
A drone was flying beside the chopper, presumably also trying to get a good shot of the fire. KDKA says the drone came a little too close for comfort. There were two other news chopper flying in the area, and the station claims the drone could have posed a safety hazard.
The Federal Aviation Administration may investigate.
