Local TV news veteran Dianne Doctor is adding to her duties at FOX. Currently the vp and station manager for WWOR-TV, Doctor has just been named manager of affiliate relations for FOX News Edge, the network’s affiliate news service. It’s a new position.
Doctor has been a news director at three New York stations: WNBC, WCBS, and WNYW, before being tapped to run Fox-owned WWOR in 2013.
“Dianne has spent most of her career in local television newsrooms and will be a valuable member of the team as we restructure and fortify our relationships and communication with all our clients,” said Sharri Berg, FOX TV stations COO, to whom Doctor will report. “She is experienced, aggressive and will use her knowledge to enhance our affiliate stations’ experience.”
Fox NewsEdge, which is housed at Fox News Channel, has more than 150 domestic and international clients. It has been providing video content and live coverage since 1996.
Doctor started out in TV as a producer and reporter, working in Syracuse, Little Rock, and New Jersey’s NJN.
