Detroit FOX Reporter Leaving to Work for Detroit Mayor

wiley_wjbkAlexis Wiley has announced she is leaving Detroit FOX owned station WJBK.

“Alexis has played an integral role in our station’s vigorous reporting on what’s making news in Detroit, particularly her ‘Redefining Detroit’ series which continues to get tremendous positive feedback from our viewers,” WJBK vice president and news director Kevin Roseborough said in a statement. “We wish her the very best in her new endeavor; she will be missed.”

The Detroit Free Press reported Saturday she will be named spokesperson for Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan. Sources tell us her new title will be director of community engagement and spokesperson for the city of Detroit.

Before coming to WJBK, Wiley worked in Columbus, OH. She started her career in Shreveport, LA.
