Despite Gawker Post KTLA Reporter Keeps it Clean After Being Scared by Magician

By Kevin Eck

KTLA, the Los Angeles CW affiliate,  has responded to a video posted on Gawker.com involving its morning feature reporter Allie Mac Kay.

Mac Kay had a live freak out moment during a May 20 live shot. During the report, magician Justin Willman shattered a pitcher Mac Kay was holding while Willman was attempting to fill it up with apple juice through the viewer’s ‘energy.’

In the actual live shot, Mac Kay said, “My gosh! You gotta warn me of this crap Justin!” But the You Tube clip had MacKay bleeped out when she said the word “crap,” giving the illusion she said something worse on air. You can watch the two videos back to back after the jump.

The clip has been up on You Tube since June 5 with the poster admitting to adding the bleep, “A bleep was added in post over the word “crap”. We just don’t tolerate that kind of language on our fucking show,” they wrote. Gawker posted the video this morning. See the video inside.
