Denver CW affiliate KWGN is launching an 11 p.m. newscast.
The station says the only 11 in Colorado will air Monday, September 12 and will be anchored by Mike Barz, Erika Gonzalez and meteorologist Matt Makens.
“I was raised in Colorado, but I’ve lived on the east and the west coasts,” said vp of news and digital content Holly Gauntt. “I know people on both are used to getting their news at 11pm. With all of the people moving to Colorado, we want to give our viewers news when they’re used to getting it.”

With the added newscast, KWGN will broadcast 77 hours of local news per week.
