Denver anchor Kyle Clark wore a viewer’s sport coat on the air this week and it’s getting buzz.
The viewer, Doyle Larson, had recently passed away. He had a brain tumor. His wife, Connie, told the KUSA anchor in a letter that she wouldn’t let her husband wear this particular coat out of the house. And when they’d watch Clark’s show each night she would say he should wear the coat and they would laugh.
Connie’s husband died on Dec. 4. This week, she mailed the coat to Clark along with the letter. He wore it on air Wednesday night. During the segment he asked viewers to make donations to the American Brain Tumor Association.
Tonight, Clark donated one of his jackets to a viewer to make room for his new one.
Connie joined Clark on the Tegna-owned NBC affiliate. You can watch a clip below.
About to select a #HeyNext viewer to take home a jacket from my closet to make room for Doyle’s. His wife, Connie, thanks you for your generous donations to The American Brain Tumor Association. #9News pic.twitter.com/ivLdxCmDQh
