WSVN viewers will see two new anchors on the Miami Fox affiliate beginning in December.
Josh Moser will take over the main sports desk from Steve Shapiro, who is retiring in December after 23 years at the station.
Vanessa Borge, pictured left, will replace Christine Cruz as co-anchor of the morning news show Today in Florida.
“We usually don’t have to fill two very big positions like this,” Alice Jacobs, vp of news and local programming for WSVN, told the Sun-Sentinel. “I have not encountered this before. People tend to stay here because it’s a good place to work.”
This is a homecoming for Borge, who started her career as a reporter and anchor at CBS News in Miami, before working as morning anchor for Good Day LA at Fox-owned KTTV in Los Angeles.
Moser, pictured right, was sports director at WLUK in Green Bay, Wisc. He started his career at KREX-KFQX in Grand Junction and Aspen, Colorado before joining KUSA in Denver.
Borge announced her move on Instagram. Moser announced his new job on Facebook in October.
