Friends of Keven Strehle are mourning the loss of the award winning photojournalist after he died in a motorcycle accident August 9.
Among his many accomplishments, Strehle won 22 Emmy awards, 16 National Telly Awards, an Edward R. Murrow Award and was named National Press Photographers Association “Photographer of the Year” in 1999. John Stofflet, anchor and reporter for Madison, WI, NBC affiliate WMTV, worked with Strehle at KING in Seattle and told TVSpy, “Keven was a tremendous storyteller, with enormous pride in his craft. Keven was not only a tremendous photojournalist, but a mentor to many in the business who looked up to his accomplishments and his work.”
Falls Little League in Fall City, WA, where Stofflet coached his daughter’s Little League team posted the news to its facebook page, “It is with heavy hearts that we share this with our community. We have lost one of our Falls LL family members, a coach, board member and father to one of our players.”
A funeral mass for Strehle will be held Saturday August 17 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Inwood, W.V. There will also be a memorial service Thursday, August 22 at 7:00pm at the Saint Clare Episcopal Church in Snoqualmie, WA.
