It’s well-known that if you want to go from reporter to full-time anchor, you may need to move to a smaller market.
Following that advice is WKYC anchor-reporter Tiffany Tarpley, who is leaving Cleveland for another Tegna station, WTOL in Toledo, Ohio, to take a full-time weekday morning anchor position.
It’s Tarpley’s second stint at WTOL. She joined the station as soon as she graduated Bowling Green University as an editor, photographer and fill-in reporter.
“Choosing to leave WKYC and Cleveland wasn’t an easy decision, but I am so excited for what’s to come in Toledo,” said Tarpley, a Cleveland native. “It is truly my second home. I worked in the Toledo market for a total of about seven years and enjoyed every bit of it. I’m looking forward to seeing how the community has evolved.”
Tarpley’s last day at WKYC will be Dec. 4.
