North Carolina Reporter Accidentally Turns on Facebook Live Filters During Weather Hit

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Filters can be fun. But for WLOS reporter Justin Hinton in Asheville, N.C., one Facebook filter accidentally turned his live weather hit into a comedy act.

Hinton was doing a Facebook Live during snow coverage and didn’t realize that the viewers were seeing him through a mask filter. Comments starting popping up on the page in reaction to the silly nature of his hit.

The Charlotte reporter didn’t have a clue it was happening until he read the comments.

“I can’t wait to see these comments,” he said in a compilation video put together after his hit.
