Cedar Rapids, Iowa ABC affiliate KCRG has fired anchor Jay Greene after they say he violated the station’s code of conduct.
The station released a preemptive statement on Sunday saying, “On Friday evening, KCRG-TV9 management learned of an incident involving one of our morning news anchors, Jay Greene. After investigating the relevant facts, the station determined Mr. Greene violated the station’s code of conduct and [has] terminated Mr. Greene’s employment effective immediately. Out of respect for all the parties involved, we cannot comment further on the situation.”
Greene had worked at the station since November 2018.
