Mike Nelson has been promoted to svp of communications for CBS Television Stations.
Nelson has been the vp of communications since 2006. He’ll continue to be the lead spokesperson for the station group’s 29 stations.
“Mike is one of the most insightful communications executives in our industry and plays an integral role on our leadership team,” said Peter Dunn, station group president. “He is a tremendous contributor to all of our stations as both an advisor and strategist. We love his passion for CBS and all he does to help elevate the profile of our stations in the communities we serve. I am very happy to recognize him with this well-deserved promotion.”

He joined CBS in 2002 as the head of communications for KCBS-KCAL.
