CBS New York Anchor Dana Tyler Signs Off After 34 years

By Kevin Eck

Longtime CBS New York anchor Dana Tyler signed off after 34 years on the 6 p.m. newscast yesterday.

She began her career at WCBS in 1990 and has anchored virtually every newscast the station airs. Tyler and the late Reggie Harris were the first Black anchor team in New York.

The station said Tyler did her job with an “informed, calm voice.”
