Just over a year after he joined the CBS Miami morning team, WFOR anchor Eugene Ramirez has left the station for a job with the city.
The announcement was made on social media on March 5th. Ramirez will be the City of Miami’s new communication’s director.
“A productive start including some team-building, department strategizing, media outreach and pastelitos. Love my team. Love my city,” he tweeted his first day on the new job.
Prior to joining Lauren Pastrana, meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez and traffic reporter Bianca Peters from 5a.m.-7a.m. weekday mornings, the Miami native was a morning co-anchor in WFLA. Before that he was a reporter for WSVN, the Fox affiliate in the market.
