Brya Berry to Join KMBC as Anchor in May

Brya Berry will join Kansas City ABC affiliate KMBC as co- anchor of the weekday 5 p.m. newscast on KMBC and the 9 p.m. newscast on KCWE in May.

“We are excited to welcome Brya to Kansas City,” said KMBC KCWE president and general manager Justin Antoniotti. “Her passion for journalism and her commitment to delivering news with professionalism and purpose make her an excellent addition to our team.”

Berry comes from KFOR in Oklahoma City, where she worked as an anchor and investigative reporter. She’s also worked at WRBL in Columbus, Ga. She began her journalism career as a news content specialist at WBRC in Birmingham, Ala.

“Brya’s extensive experience as an anchor and reporter will help us continue to provide our viewers with the most up-to-date and accurate news in the Kansas City area,” said KMBC news director Dan O’Donnell. “We look forward to the energy and expertise that she will bring to our newscasts.”
