Before Brenda Wood stepped down from the 11 p.m. newscast at Atlanta NBC affiliate WXIA, she took a moment to introduce her successor.
Russell will sit in the late news anchor chair starting tonight a 11 p.m. “And I know it will be in good hands,” said Wood during last night’s newscast.
Wood will continue anchoring at 5 and 6 p.m. until her retirement in February.
