WHDH reporter Dave Puglisi told viewers he’d be off the air for “a little while” after getting hit by a car.
Puglisi, who joined the Boston station last June, explained what happened on social media.
“Life update: I’ll be going off air for a little while. On Wednesday night, I was struck by a car while walking home. I was in the crosswalk about to reach the other side of the road when next thing I knew I was flying through the air,” said Puglisi. “I broke two bones in my spine. I’m home now recovering. I’m walking around a little bit but the pain is tough. I’m bummed to be put on the bench like this but I hope to be back soon. Until then, stay safe and look both ways when crossing the street.”
